Jesus, I Trust You to Take Care of Everything
By George S Bernardich ·
You can endure a failed relationship, money trouble, or even cancer. The hardest work in life is truly turning everything over to God—and once you do, living becomes simpler.
Every day I pray a short prayer:
Jesus, I trust You to take care of everything.
It has significantly helped me in my battle with stage 4 adenocarcinoma lung cancer. I do not say that as a slogan. I say it as a man who has had to practice those words when fear wanted the last word.
One can endure a failed relationship, financial trouble, turmoil, or health issues such as heart disease or cancer. Those are heavy. They can break your sleep and your plans. But the hardest and most difficult challenge in life is to truly turn everything over to God.
Not to mention Him. Not to pray around the edges. To actually let go of the illusion that we are in control.
Once you give yourself to God and truly trust in Him, living life becomes so much simpler. The diagnosis is still the diagnosis. The bills are still the bills. The heart still aches. What changes is the weight you no longer insist on carrying alone.
If you are walking through illness, loss, or uncertainty today, you are welcome to borrow this prayer. Whisper it in the morning. Repeat it when the mind races at night.
Jesus, I trust You to take care of everything.
Then take the next faithful step—and leave the rest with Him.
God bless you.
